East Granby: East Granby Fire has placed an order with
4-Guys for a 3,200 elliptical tanker on a Kenworth chassis. Delivery should be
sometime around February or March of 2014.
New Haven: Truck 1 will be delivered Sunday, July 21 to the
New Haven Fire Dept Maintenance Shops. It's a 2013 Sutphen 100' MMA.
Shelton: Echo Hose Ambulance now operates one ALS
ambulance.
Cromwell: The Cromwell Fire Department has taken delivery of
a 75' Quint built by Pierce.
Suffield: The Suffield Fire Department has taken delivery of
a 2500 gallon pumper tanker built by Pierce.
Ansonia: The first of two ambulances has arrived.
Beacon Falls: Beacon Hose Co's new ambulance has been
delivered. It is a Lifeline on a Dodge chassis.
Glastonbury: Glastonbury purchased a used Smeal
Aerial.
Woodstock: Woodstock Fire has taken delivery of a new
Ford/Lifeline ambulance and a used 100' RMA ladder truck to replace the Mack which served
Berlin and Brooklyn CT.
Sikorsky: The Sikorsky Fire Department will be placing into
service a new Ford/AEV Van style ambulance.
West Haven: The West Shore Fire Department has taken
delivery of Willimantic's former ambulance which is out being painted
and prepared for service. It will be assigned Car 40 and be a
transporting vehicle when there are no commercial ambulances available.
Also, they're specing out a new rescue truck.
West Haven:
The City of West Haven Fire Department Allingtown should be taking
delivery of a new rescue truck which will be a transporting ambulance in
the next few weeks.
New Haven: The bids for E5, E9 and E11 have gone
out. The bid opening will be on August 15 and I will report shortly
there after who is awarded what apparatus.
